Will students have opportunities to meet teachers in person?

Yes, they will.

SEA is currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. Many of the students are from this region but was are actively expanding to other areas of the world. Other countries are being represented amongst our student population.

However, the teachers come from around the world. We have teachers from Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia. This means that actually meeting up with teachers can be rather difficult.

In the past we have had opportunities for our parents, students and teachers to meet. We hope to continue this moving forward. Logistics, finance and timing will all be issues but you can rest assured that we are working towards having regular events for the SEA community. Our goal is to host events at least twice a year in different parts of the world each time. Teachers and parents are welcome to arrange other types of meetings for themselves. For example, if you are traveling to the teacher’s country it might be a good idea to meet for coffee or lunch. Since our teachers are all over the world, you may have a friend at the place you’re going.

If any parents, students, and teachers meet we would love to see pictures and share with the rest of our school.

Our long term goal with SEA is to build a community. Though we are separated geographically, we connected together through SEA and technology. We want relationships to extend beyond the screen, and to face-to-face meetings.
