Meet the Word Families At the end of this course project, students will be able to create a word family chart with the whole class which will help them build phonemic awareness. Every lesson, students will be asked to think of words from a certain word family. They will also be asked to use these words in sentences to assure comprehension. Then they will be asked to choose a word from the list and then draw pictures to illustrate them. Lastly, students’ work will be put together to create the Word Family Chart.
