THEME OF THE PROJECT

A Day In Life

Purpose

By the end of this project, the students will be able to:

Respond to others by email in a polite, informative, and helpful manner
Navigate the interface of Google Docs
Create text on Google Docs
Create charts on Google Docs
Import images to Google Docs
Navigate the interface of Google Slides
Create text on Google Slides
Add multimedia content on Google Slides
Create interactive elements on Google Slides
Provide constructive feedback to peers

1ST STAGE OF THE PROJECT

Email response

In this section of the project, the students and the teacher will swap roles. Each student will receive an email from the teacher with a few questions based on the contents of weeks 1-4 and reply to it in a polite, informative, and helpful manner.

2ND STAGE OF THE PROJECT

Online Diary

Each week starting from week 6, students will write an entry in a journal created with Google Docs. Each entry will have a different format: plain text, text with images, and text with charts. Each entry will have a comments section where other students will be able to write about similarities and differences of their entries’ contents.

3RD STAGE OF THE PROJECT

A Day in Life: Part 1

Students select one entry from Stage 2 and create a slide deck based on it in a collaborative document on Google Slides.

4TH STAGE OF THE PROJECT

A Day in Life: Part 2

Students add advanced features to their slide decks, integrate individual slide stacks into the collaborative document, and leave feedback in designated sections of their peers’ slides.
